Dear Libyan brothers and sisters

Dear participants in this international conference coming from Africa, the Americas and Europe.

We are here first to strongly assert our unconditional solidarity with the Libyan people in these sad days of aggression.

We are here also to restore the truth about the tragic events that have shaken the Jamahiriya for two months.

The question of truth is essential!

Today there is a "truth": that of NATO and Western media at orders. This story is as false as unilateral. It is based on the manipulation of facts and double language, backed by a double moral code with variable geometry. We are in the world of the novel "1984" by George Orwell, it’s the reign of "Newspeak" of NATO, its mercenaries and its lackeys.

There is on the other side THE truth!

That of the tragedy of the Libyan people. Not that of the comfort of the sets of Western televisions and bourgeois newsrooms, but that of blood and tears of the Libyans, men and women. That of a people they are trying to chain and a people’s Republic that they would like to break.

The battle we fight is that of the truth. But it is also that of Justice!

We are also with the Libyan Jamahiriya and its Guide, brother Moammar Gaddafi because we are men and women of honor.

Because Moammar Gaddafi’s Libya represents dignity in a world where only dominates money and betrayal.

Because we are friends of the Jamahiriya in good and bad days.

And when the storm rages, our place is beside those who are fighting.

Our cause is just!

Those who remember the lessons of history have already drawn a parallel with another just cause: that of the Spanish Republic in 1936.

Already the reactionary and fascist forces relied on religious sectarianism and supported militarily by Nazi and Fascist Italian air forces.

Today in this spring 2011, the "Guernica" of the twenty-first century are called Tripoli, Sabha or Zaruwah. And NATO is playing the role in Benghazi of the infamous Condor Legion.

This conference has an immediate role: to show the solidarity with the Jamahiriya which is organized worldwide, particularly in Europe at the heart of the imperialist and militarist NATO system.

Because that is the reality that the NATO media totally conceal:

A quarter of a million Europeans for Gaddafi on social networks!

Demonstrations throughout Europe and Africa to support the Jamahiriya and denounce NATO's war!

But this conference will also be echoed in the weeks and months ahead as we intend to organize the Resistance. On a transnational basis. The truth is marching on!
